My backup of Strikers 1945 looks choppy compared to the original. The ending FMV skips slightly. I tested it by passing both the backup and the original and there is a noticeable difference. Any thoughts?

it could be the poor qelity of media or the the type was it a +r (+rw) media or a -r (-rw) media if it was +r (+rw) then that could be it

I didn't know there were different types of CDR media. I thought that was only for DVD. How can I tell?

You were correct, CDs only come as r and rw. I'm unfamiliar with playstation games, is the one you copied PS2? If so, is it DVD based? Also, as reas11 said, try a better quality media. I've heard Verbatim works very well when it comes to console games.

vbguru, Thanks for the input. Coincidentally I used a Verbatim Datalife Plus. Strikers 1945 is a PS1 game. I also tried a Taiyo Yuden CD with similar results.

I closed the session when I burnt it. Could that be it?

I was just told by a friend that does this a lot that cd's labeled "audio" work very well. Give those a try.
