Hi there, sorry for this beginner's question, but I want to burn a bunch of audio tracks (WMA, Real Player) onto disk. I like the superior storage capacity of the DVD format as opposed to CD, but is it going to work? And will I be able to use the disks in a standard CD/DVD player as opposed to just on the computer?

Thanks a lot!

Burn them as DVD-ROM compilation in Nero for example. This will be playable in all PCs and also DVD standalone players that support those formats.

Many "multiformat" DVD players do not exend this capability to DVD media, those that play "exotic" formats like Divx, WMA or MP3, often only play them from CD.

One option is to convert the material to DVD-Video format (eg. slideshow + music), or to DVD Audio (Though that requires an audio-capable player)
