I am trying to burning karaoke files which are in mp3 format on my computer.

First problem .... for the disc to work in a karaoke machine does it have to be a cdg disc or can i use a dvd?
Secondly .... what type of file do i need to convert the mp3's to and where can i download a program to do so?

Also I am using Nero to burn. Can this program even burn cdg's?

Yes Nero will burn CDG discs.  As far as I know, MP3's don't store CDG information!

The files are in MPG format.

What file type should I convert them to and what program can i use to do so?
