Is it possible to eliminate shaded area on cdr audio disc which only contains 40 min audio. So when examining disc it appears full

you would probably have better luck using a true silver CD-R, which does not show the "shading effects" when burned. Prodisc makes this type of CD-R, as well as a few other companies, but don't be fooled by just regular silver CD-Rs which aren't the same thing. Good luck!
