deane -> kvcd sync question (1/17/2006 7:28:06 AM)

hi...i dunno if this is the right place in this forum to post my question...so sori if its not...anyway...

my prob is abt a dvdrip kvcd...i succesfully burned it to cd using nero and it played ok on my pc. however, when i tried to play it on my dvd player (not dvd rom) thats connected to my tv, the audio is out of sync. i was wondering if theres a way to fix this. the dvdrip is in cue file format

i tried searching the forum before posting this but i couldnt find a similar topic. any help would be gladly appreciated...tnx

I think you will have to convert to standard VCD (or convert to DVD, if standard VCD loses too much quality or capacity).

I've seen bad results from KVCD on another player, it just takes too many liberties with the format, the gross abuse of GOP size seems to be the main thing which upsets it - slipping, playing as if in fast forward, all sorts of wierdness - the matrix is about the only part of KVCD that can be used without aggravation, and that may not be relevant if KVCD's other tunings cannot be used.

I have also seen KVCD problems, also video/audio out of synch issues...
