I have just tried the dvd srink for the first time--on my backup dvd it played the intro. of the movie, but then it said it couldn't be shown in this region--what does this mean and where do i find the region

When you use DVD Shrink you need to check the box to remove the region code of the disc. Every DVD has a region code.
