zhyang111 -> new user of DVDinfoPro asking for help (7/10/2005 12:41:22 PM)

I have NEC6500A DVD drive in Dell 700m laptop.  Just flashed the fireware to 2.24(liggy).   I am trying to use DVDinfo to change the booktype from DVD+R to DVD-ROM so that the DVD I burned can be read by my 5 year old DVD player.   I managed to change the booktype for both default and temporary settings in the Bitsetting menu.  But after I burned a DVD, I checked the booktype, it is still DVD+R, so my old player can't read it.  [:(]
As a new user of DVD pro, please excuse me for my silly question, how can I change the booktype with DVDinforPro (Ver4.21).   I use Ridata DVD+R.  Thanks in advance!

Sorry, forgot to mention.  I use cloneDVD software to burn the DVD.  Any other good softwares suggested, and where to get them?   BTW, I changed the default setiing 2-3 times, but still the remaining changing time is still 500, is it right?

You have posted in the wrong section
Have you set the jumpers on the rear of the drives to Master & Slave they have to be diferant for each drive and from what you describe I think you will find them both the same
