Having a NU DDW082 recorder, I tried a full DCerase on a bunch of bad CDRW's with several DVDINFOPRO advert versions upto the latest (4.22) but to no avail ! The process starts OK but after 5 to 10% it jumps to 100% and ejects the CD and when I check the disk on another PC, nothing seems to have changed. What's the trick (if any) ?! Thanks. =============== The DC Erase function was designed for DVD, while in theory it should work on CDRW, I personally never tried it. Other testers did and reported it worked fine, I never personally confirmed this. There are also quick and full modes. The quick bascially only erases the TOC the full does the whole disc. If and when I get time I will try mine on some CDRW media. What firmware are you on? nicw

Firmware is B377, opsys is W2kSP4. BTW, the full FORMAT option for DVD+-RW... does it fill all the sectors with info, incl. CRC info like on harddisks ? So afterwards you can check a "blank" disk ? I know Roxio's (Adaptec) DirectCD seems to do precisely such a thing, even with CDRW's. Thanks Nicw.
