[&o]Hello!!I need to update the firmware of my cdr drive(philips cdd 6911)and-although i've visited rpc1.org(which,by the way,is back..)it keeps sending me to the official Philips site,where i'm informed that i have no authorization for accessing the page...i'm just asking ONE thing...Why did i get a Phillips??Any ideas???

As far as I remember minos is talking straight with Philips, so he could help you, I suppose.

Well shorter beside me Phillips CDD6911, and when I with he reads something,or write,that appears the blue screen, there on english something that is written: that system is stopped,for repare mistakes try will update the firewood,or reinstall system...
Sorry for my bad english, i'm from russia and i don't know english very well

Can you please tell us more for your configuration? IDE chaneels, Master/Slave etc...

Slave, IDE channel I don't know

Do you have it installed on an extra controller or mobos IDE?

What OS do you have? Have you installed it properly?

The questions can be hundreds since this can be a hardware or even a software issue.

All are installed it is correct, Operating system Windows XP

A fresh WinXP SP2 installation would be an option. If still the same then your drive has started leaving you. Did you try to flash it to the latest firmware?
