Bishamon -> Curious CD-DA rip... Need burning-tips... (7/13/2003 5:34:11 PM)

I have an album ready to burn:

1x WMA file for the entire album
1x .cue file with proper track-list etc.

I just can't find any programs that will burn the darn thing (I have tried the latest Nero, BlindWrite and Alcohol 120%). Any tips?

Well, since you stated it's a WMA file, why not use Windows Media since that's the file type it is.

Well, duh! WMP can't process .cue files. I'm trying to recreate the CD as a 15-track disc, not a 1-track disc...

This is how the .cue looks:
TITLE "World Wide Funk"
PERFORMER "Expansion Union"
FILE "Expansion Union - World Wide Funk.wma" WMA
TRACK 01 AUDIO
TITLE "Gets Mines"
PERFORMER "Expansion Union"
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 AUDIO
TITLE "World Wide Funk"
PERFORMER "Expansion Union"
INDEX 01 01:50:22
TRACK 03 AUDIO
TITLE "Forktung"
PERFORMER "Expansion Union"
INDEX 01 09:02:05
...

As stated by Mp3Mogul, you need:

1. a program for WMA --> WAV converson, and
2. a program for burning .CUE files.

Use EAC for the second task.
I don't know how to transform WMA to WAV.
Windows Media Player is able to play them. This means that the codecs for doing the conversion are on your system already.
Out of my hat, I would say to use a full dublex audio card to re-record digitally on hard disc. But this way you will certainly have the inter song gaps distorted.

I hope there is a conversion somewhere on the web. Just do a Google search...

Why not just re-rip the CD with EAC?

So you can use Nero to burn the songs as one on a rewritable and re-rip for geting the BIN file in the way you want.

Can Nero handle the cue if the WMA plugin is installed (if the cue references the WMA)

Thats the WMA for NERO, not the Nero for Windows Media player one
