Alright n/m, seems that InCD has just crashed on me again upon insertion of the cd. I've tried about 4 times of ejecting and inserting the cd with writing files into the disc inbetween each time and it never crashed. Until i went to it try one more time just before I go to bed and it crashed. Looks like I don't know what the real cause of this is unless it's really my VIA chipset. [:(!]

When you get this crash, is it a bluescreen? Does windows prompts you on next reboot for a report ("Windows recovered from a serious error...")? Are you able to send this report and can yo obtain a tracking number so we can ensure that the issue is proceeded?

Yes Windows crashes but the blue screen shows up for probably half a second or less and the computer reboots. After I reboot and re-enter windows it does say Windows has recovered from a serious error and a 'Detail' button on the prompt as well. Would you like me to paste you the information that it gives me when clicking on the detail button?

... and provide the xml and dmp files that are generated, yes.

Great to see ya here, supporting your product. We really appreciate it alot. This is one of the reasons I use your software, because you get "down" with the users and help. [:D]

Where do I locate these xml and dmp files?

Thanks.

dburg -> RE: InCD 4010 (7/10/2003 4:31:04 PM)

Well, the easiest is to use the OnLine Crash Analysis of Microsoft (that is, just click "send" on the Windows XP dialog box and the report is done automatically). If you want to do it manually, you can click on the link for more details, then they should be a new link "technical details" and in these technical details the files included in the report are given (with the full path to access to them).

I honestly do not remember where the .xml files are located, although I remember that the minidump files are located in C:\WINNT\Minidump (if C: is your system disk) as files named "MiniMMDDYY-XX.dmp" XX been the number of dumps created the same day.

Alright, I have submitted the error report by using Microsoft's Online Crash Analysis, and I have saved the detailed info it gave me at the prompt which reads:

BCCode : 10000050 BCP1 : EFDE1C4E BCP2 : 00000000 BCP3 : 80552A42
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 1_0 Product : 256_1

And I have also uploaded the dmp file which could be found here:

Thank you for the support. [:)]

Ronage -> RE: InCD 4010 (7/13/2003 10:46:32 PM)

Thanks to this forum I was able to get my burner to work with INCD. My copy of Nero came with InCD 2.x and the Nero Cleaner was needed to fully remove the old and follow up with installation of v4.0.1.7.

Ahead should put a note on their support page for this product for those upgrading. I searched the site and did not find anything pertaining to it. Furthermore I thought that the site layout could use some work, the navigation was not very intuitive.

Thanks again to the previous posters and to Ahead for monitoring this forum.

Regards,

-Ron

I assure you, that in working with the good folks at Ahead Software, they are in the process of doing such. A good friend emailed me the cleaning program (which I posted) LONG before Nero posted it to their website, and they are aware of the situation, and are diligently working on this situation. Great that you got it resolved here, as that is what we are here for. Also remember, many folks from Ahead do drop in and post from time to time.... and they are VERY helpful.... HAPPY BURNING [:D]

Sometimes the support can be slow, this is due to the "overwhelming" requests sent to Ahead Software. I assure you, I have been using Nero for years, and they are a great company, and have an "awesome" piece of software.....
