MUTCHYMAN -> DVD SHRINK SUCKS....sorta... (3/10/2005 5:47:24 PM)

Welll...when i first started using dvd shrink, it was great. but now it is slower than balls. i used to do a dvd in about hour doing everything, then all of a sudden, it started taking forever. It starts encoding at 2500kb/s then goes to 500. WHY. DMA and everything is enabled!!! i have already reformatted trying to fix it. i also tryed uninstalling the DMA drivers then rebooting to.

I have:
Nec-3520
Aopen 1648/aap Pro
WD 120 GB ata 100
athlon 2600+
1 gig of ram

why is this taking forever??!!??1....i have deep analysed clicked and default sharp/smoothness thing and run in low priority unchecked.

how many of u guys deep analys and do the smoothness thing

HELP ME!!!!??????!!!!!

The reason is because you have "deep analysis" enabled, so UNCHECK it, because there is no need for it.

Also, ensure you defrag your hard drive on a regular basis.

sooo 700kb/s is normal for my processor speed and 2 hrs is a normal decode for a 7.75 gb movie? (Blue collar comedy tour rides again is the one i checked with the most, but all others are slow too)

No it's not normal, that's why I posted what I said above.

That's how long it takes me, but I got an older burner/computer. However, I would highly recommend you don't disable Deep Analysis if you care about quality over speed. It increases the quality quite a bit.
