I have some ventage LPs & Cassettes which aren't sold in the music stores. I would like to convert them to CDs, I'd like to know what I need to accomplish this task and how. Thanks [;)]

My personal favorite program for doing this is MusicMatch, it has a specific setup for this, and it records great wave files from Line-In recording. Your soundcard will need a line-in though. If you'd like to try it out (It's Free) you can get it at:

How do I connect my Component Amplifier to my PC?

Your sound card will need line-in, and line-out to accomplish this. I use the Audigy II Card for this, it is probably the best sound card on the market.
