I also have the simular question. but what i concerned most is that which software can copy a dvd movie with the best quality? actually before i came here, i only know dvdxcopy is a good one and decss(maybe spell like this) is another good one.
is it possible to make the video quality is same to the original?

I asked same question in another post. but i think ask here is better. I don't mind its free or need to pay, quality is the only thing i mind, because I may need it to do some commercial business(of course not selling copyright protected movies, just make some copys of home video). and because they pay me, so i want to be more professional.
I also have another question(maybe asked too much [;)]) i know adobe premiere is a very professional video editing tool, but it really expensive, does it worth it? and is there any other software can replace it with same quality? I only do little editing, maybe not need such a powerful one, but quality is important.
