Hi,

my dad got himself a sony DW-D22A but it is writing cd'r very slow... OS=WIN98SE,firmware =BYS2

I would like to flash it... But what firmware to use and how...
I'm thinking to use the Sony.710A.BYX2 or is a Liteon (BS41) better?

What media do you have?

Iggy,

I tried different cd-r media, same result. I tried Maxell different versions, platinum, philips and so...
The same media in my NEC3500a and in my old cd-r burner is working ok.
