Nice review, except for one point that is blatantly wrong.

I own a Pioneer DVR-720H and i tested playback of DVD+R/+RW discs the moment i received it, since i have many of these discs and would have returned it immediately if it could not play them. Without any problems i have played both Verbatim DVD+R/+RW and Zero Defex DVD+R/+RW discs. I did not have to do any kind of bitsetting, they just worked! So please amend your review so that you don't scare of potential buyers of this fantastic machine.

Regards

I find this recorder in Greece 550 euros.

I would like to know if I can connect my laptop via dv output and copy files from recorder's hard disk to laptop's hard disk.

Thanks in advance

i don't know if this is possible, possibly not, since the Pioneer uses a special HDD format, not the well known FAT32 or NTFS
