I burned a dvd back up with sonic recordnow under data disc compilation.
Although the test process finished succesful during writing the teac dw50 writer stopped and recordnow was not respoding.
After a while, about 30sec the programe was again functioning ordinary and the task finsihed slightly later than the appropriate time
What i would like to ask is

1 how can i assure that the written files which i firstly zipped are correctly written. Do i have just to check if my cd is readable or i have to unzip all the files just in case some file under the zip file is corrupt

2 i use a very early version of recordnow because it actually fits my needs in comparison to the latests that suck. I would like to know if there is a way to update the media database of the programe in order to be apsolutely sure that my devices and the media that i use are properly supported by the util.

I found today some 8x TY media at about 1€. His daughter rules
