I got the latest 2.99 build and here are remarks:

a) The drive won't recognize the SOHW-1213S as a supported drive

Anyway the software worked with LiteON 811S and we got

1) As far i know and its public confirmed, LiteON drives doesn't support neither PO or POF errors. So this should change!

2) The size of the scan is very big, i mean even here at forum messed up the layout of the thread, also we cannot put such big images to main reviews.

3) There is no indication about the reading speed of the drive, neither you can change it. From my experience i saw that reading was performed at 4X CLV. We need to be able to select reading speeds, its important!

4) I do like the GB size, maybe should be at the bottom of both graphs, since eye loosing easily them.

5) There isn't an option to set at your own the scaling scale, only pre-fixed values, that must change...

PS. How exactly PIE and PIE Average calculated?

NicW:

It would seem that 2.99 has broken the PIF peak counter when scanning nu tech ddw-082 the PIF total is fine as well as PIE total and peak.

Things I would like to see added and or changed.

1>Its way to big for now to post on webpage

2> The save option is only jpg ID like to see png as an option.

3> The transfer rate graph is way to blocky is there any way to make more smooth like nero speed rate graph is.

4> Could you add a create test disk option like nero speed would be very handy maybe add it to erase format tab.

5> the mt rainier check boxes dont say if its for cdrw or dvdrw, could we have it say?

6> It would be great if there was hide serial number option when saving the data screen, as an image file.

Thanks fellas, its all appreciated. I will look into and address those issues. I cannot promise anything though.
I have left speed changing off for the time being mainly because most other drives do not support it while in the pi/po scan after chatting with the various engineers. Having a custom scale rather than some fixed values I am having trouble seeing the need for but it is possible, and at this point in time would be low in my priority list there is just too much else to do, and I have very little time at the moment for updating it. A heap of work went into enlarging the display as it was my number one request from users, reversing it now would be difficult, no promises on this one, and maybe a poll first :)

I'd like to see support for saving the file as a .csv but I have a feeling that my needs are a lot more unique then others. However for doing burn comparisons this would be 100% easier to work with then using a jpg or png, since you could then have scans overlap on the same graph.

Graqph resizing is a must as well (as mentioned) since it allows you to move past those super tall peaks that occasionally pop up.

I will add this one in specifically. The vendor command I am using to detect Liteon's is not in that burner yet. This is an easy fix and will be fixed tonight.

Yes Dolphy is correct, CSV save would be nice or directly exporting to Excel files.

PS. Selecting speeds is nessecery, especially with LiteON drives! The SOHW-1213S can read up to 12X DVD+/-R media

Yeah, either a direct export to and excel document or a .csv would be GREAT They're pretty much the same thing, and one can be easily converted into the other

Thanks!

Thanks once again. I will add the .CSV to the todo list, any particular format within the .CSV maybe you could suggest a template. Thanks also for the spelling error I will fix that too.

I am on a work deadline at the moment but will try and do some of this work on the weekend.

Well, I for one think it would be nice if the .csv layout was the same as how K-Probe does it... that way we could map older scans done before DVDinfoPro with newer ones done with DVDInfoPro... but that's just me

yes the kprobe .csv looks fine when imported into excel for example.

That would be fine format for graph funtion on dvdinfo to save to.
