I suppose you have downoaded the WMP updates that have "messed" up your PC. Have you trying installing a previous version of the WMP?

This sounds logical Tony. I will install a previous version of WMP to see what happens. I knew that those updates aren't for any good ...

Sorry Jimmy but according to MP3Mogul I can sent you the MP3 unless I personally wrote the song, personally played ALL THE INSTRUMENTS in the song, personally RECORDED the song, and personally promoted and distributed the song...

If someday I personally write a song, personally play ALL THE INSTRUMENTS in the song, personally RECORD the song, and personally promote and distribute it, only then I will send it to you to tell me how to fix the problem...

If the orignal CD was destroyed and the MP3 given was the only copy, wouldn't it be legal? Either way, I doubt this is what was done.

Yeah, unfortunately this would still be Illegal, (according to the "Powers That Be")

I believe we have a "LEGAL" right to back up music that we have purchased, just because it's scratched, or unplayable, doesn't mean that we don't have the rights to it any longer.

Of course, this will vary depending on which country you live in. But I believe, if I purchase it, I OWN IT.... it's MINE.... you can't take it away.

I think it would be "perfectly" fine to send a file for "testing" to see if DRM is on the file....... does anyone see anything wrong with this?

Unfortunately nothing happens with a previous version of the media player

A friend told me that it might be a missing codec issue. Anyone knows where i can find audio codecs in the web? A link would be greatly appreciated.

At last the problem is solved. After downloading an XP update related with audio file formats, my Mp3 were playable again. It wasn't a DRM ussue after all.

An advice for everyone: Always download all files when updating your XP.
