would you ever consider using vbulletin for the forums ? there's a function to require a valid email and verification for new users :)

VBulletin mostly works with Linux systems if i am correct...The current forum requires valid email and sends email to verify this, but many people subscribe with fake emails so we want to warn them before doing that

vbulletin runs on both linux/unix as well as windows servers :)

vb allows you to set up banned email domain and email addy lists
