I read the test. itīs a good writer, but to expensive, i think

Yeah I'm getting both the beige, and the black special edition bezel [:I]

BTW, FYI, L.A. all the trays will be belt loading mechanisms on the PX-W4824 series... I actually like the idea now because the belt is much more quiet than gears, and is resistant to shocks, whereas, gears can be damaged (in shipping, transportation etc).

Yep you are right about shipping mate but the belts wear out faster than gears or at least they used to !!!

Well knowing Plextor, they should last and be very reliable... I'll let you know when it comes
Also, I noticed my standalone DVD player has belt loading, and it is very quiet and is still going strong I have a feeling my PS2 is belt loading to, although I can't see without taking it apart [:p]
