You could try the following software for creating selfmade copy protected cds:

AUDIO
CloneAudioProtector
Easy Audio Lock

DATA
Winlock
CDprotector
TZcopyprotection
CopyKiller

A google search will help you find what you're looking for

This is the way - Step inside ...

There is a way to make a CD which cannot be copied (using only a home CD-Burner), but there are no free implementations that I know of.

I think I have made myself a challenge...

I won't reveal it until I've at least written some code, and checked out the best way to do it.

PM me if you really want to know.

SirD seems to be full of ideas today
I have used many of the proggies around for creating a protected cd. Maybe a fresh idea: appart from the programs i have already mentioned in the previous post, there have also been reports(http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48112) in the cdfreaks forum of one being able to create such a cd by using CloneCD alone. All it requires is changing a few values in the ccd file:
quote:
if it's a prog then what i would do is mod the entry 2 entering pmin=0
psec=0
pframe=0

then add in 2 more entries which will become entry 5 & 6 ..u can just copy entry 1 & 2 & mod the pmins .........

and u also have 2 mod line 4 [toc entrys = 6]

when it comes 2 software because of the limitations of the cdrom can't do any better than this i think...............

however 4 music & console games it a whole different ballgame
if u want 2 do music then try these values

pmin 0
psec 4
pframe 4

then when u about 2 burn it will give u 3 options ...choose the 1st one which is the default ......... & then u have a protected disc ............

SirD i would love "testing" your idea Will PM you

Hey David
Oh ! And when you have suceeded in doing this we won't be able to talk to you as you will become a Multi-Millionaire over night as you will be the first Earthman on this Planet (That is if you do come from this Planet ) that has made some Copy Protection that cannot be hacked or bypassed and every software Publisher on our Planet will want to be your Friend and then you won't be a Sir you will be a King for a least a day untill someone shows you how easy it was to get round your Super Protection!

Any protection can be hacked; it's a mathematical truth.

It is not copyable in the sense that SafeDisc is not copyable (you cannot replicate the C2 errors in SD's bad sectors).

However, the way for copying my protection would be much harder than copying any other (even Tages).

And indeed, calling it "my" protection is a bit of a stretch. It is just a new spin on an old idea.

Hey David
You Say " It is not copyable in the sense that SafeDisc is not copyable (you cannot replicate the C2 errors in SD's bad sectors)."

But the thing is nobody wants to copy SD2 all they want to do is make a back-up of a Program that they have Legally Purchessed incase of a CD Fault appearing and then having to wait months to get a replacement and that is if you ever do get one without buying the program again !!!

You Say " However, the way for copying my protection would be much harder than copying any other (even Tages)."

Yeah Right ! Well Tages was very hard to bypass wasn't it LOL.!!!
And how come if Tages was that GOOD why did the Big Software Publishers keep away from it !!!
I can't wait to see your Super Protection !!!

You Say " And indeed, calling it "my" protection is a bit of a stretch. It is just a new spin on an old idea.!!!

Abit of a stretch its a mile long ! I hope that the old Idea is not Patented as I am sure you know it is Illegal to change code in someones patented work and then call it your Own !!!

In the US, it would be perfectly legal for me to patent it, as it's an improvement (or at least a different way of doing the same thing).
