I am ready to upgrade to a better DVD drive to use as a reader for use with Clone and Nero , for game and cd backup . What brand and model is best now? And has low CPU utilization too! It will be used either with a LiteOn LTR24102B or a Yamaha CRW3200E(BEK).Thanks in advance for any help.

I would suggest the Toshiba 1502 or the Lite-on 163 I don't think you will go far wrong with either of them . But out of the 2 I use Toshiba with my Yamaha 3200e and have no problems at all copying on the fly but it has problems with some protected Audio CD's but none at all with Games CD's !

I suggest the newer of the both of them - Toshiba SD-M1602 or Lite-On LTD-165H

.

There are no reviews out for the LTD-165H yet, but it suppost to access every DVD format, including DVD-RAM!!
