We also have seen that sometimes. I would suggest lower recording speed.

No offense to the previous poster, but SD2.51xx can be very quirky. Each protection can be unique, so just copying one protection at a certain speed may or not work with another protection.

Lite-ons are able to copy EFM encoding properly, but John is right, sometime slowers speeds or other tweaking may be necessary to get it to work on your individual system. One more thing. Are you using the LTD 163 to read the disk?

i have those same two drives and i have found that they work best at full speed when copying sd2.

read with fast error skip at 0 retries with hardware correction. write at full speed with only 'always close last session' selected.

i think the problem may be if you're installing from the burner. it has an atip check so use the dvdrom. it's also possible that some of the new default settings in clone 4 are screwing up the setup. i haven't tried clone4 so i can't be sure.

I use as source a liteon dvd ltd-163 or a Ultraplex 32x
