Hi, very new to video authoring and would appreciate any help offered.

Downdoaded an AVI file and decided to try to make an SVCD(just found out they exsisted). Used TmpgENC to encode to MPG2 NTSC, i think. Then used Nero to burn and make menu screen. Well, the menu screen looks perfect, but when i go to play to movie the screen starts to roll. If its the way i encoded, could you please point me in the right direction. If it has to do with what the source file format was in I have no idea how to find that info out. Does anyone know of an app that will tell me that info???

-I have a Lasonic DVD-1100 and it says it plays SVCD's in PAL or NTSC.

Any help would be Awesome!!! Thank you

Is the CD you created able to play without any problems in a DVDROM drive on your computer?

If you use Nero to create a VCD with the original AVI file, does it play without problems?

Do you have the latest version of Nero 5.5.8.0?
