I used the latest firmware installation software from Toshiba.  It said it did not transfer correctly and then my gigabeat shutdown.  I booted it up and about halfway throught the startup it came up with a red lettering saying "No system found on HDD".  Now it does not even startup.

Does anyone here know how I can access it again and reinstall the old firmware?  I have read a bit on this forum and you all seem very knowledgable.

I do not want to take this to Toshiba as I have read alot of disturbing things about their Customer Support but if I must I will.

As a side note, how long is the warranty on the thing?

Sorry, have not seen a lot of gigabeat experts on this forum... just those with trouble similar to yours and not a whole lot of answers here.  I'm a happy iPod nano owner personally.  Try googling for some information on it.  About the only thing I found is a site called MyGigabeat.com.  They do have a forum.  Good luck... sorry I can't offer much more than that.
