Suddenly I do receive a "No Recorder" message when clicking on the Drag To Disk icon. The inserted CD recordable isn't recognized. Drag To Disk isn't working at all at the moment. I did reinstall Drag To Disk, but this didn't work out.
The recorder burns well with Nero 6 reloaded. I can't find any other problems with it. Is there a solution for this?

Sound like Packet Writing... Search this forum to learn about it.  Packet Writing is something you want to avoid.  And Since I don't use Packet Writing software and likely no one on this forum does, I can't help you beyond telling you it is not a good idea and it is not reliable.

The only troubleshooting I can give you is this... if you installed Nero, did you install InCD as well?  If yes, you have two packet writing software packages installed... this would be a conflict.

I haven't got InCD installed on my PC. Everything works well, except Drag To Disk. There must've occured some kind of conflict.

Remove "Drag to Disc" and reboot... Don't use it... If you feel you must, after the reboot, re-install the application.  That should fix it, but be warned... If you insist on using packet writing software, you are damned to eventually lose your data.  Hope your not putting anything valuable on your media using packet writing software...  You'll probably be better off with DVD-RAM becuase it has defect management.

I'm sorry, but rebooting and re installing doesn't solve the problem.

Your best bet is to leave it off and learn to session record with Nero... But I'll leave that decision to you.  If you need help, provide some details about your system... Windows OS and SP level, CPU type @ installed RAM, list your optical drives and firmware levels as well as your video card type (there are often conflicts with video card drivers).  The more detail you can provide the better... and we'll try to help, but I know your sick of hearing it from me, but do yourself a favor and give up on packet writing before you lose some serious data.  I'd hate to say I told you so after you lost some important family pictures or something like that.
