I have a Norwood Micro (Benq Rebadge) that I want to cross flash to original Benq firmware in order to use Nero's DVD Speed efficiently. Right now I can only scan @ 1X with current GSLB f/w. How do I do it? What do I need ? What f/w version should I use? Should I do it at all?

PS I have my drive connected externally via USB external enclosure...

You will neeed BQFlasher from the forums at CDFreaks. I've linked the forum. Browse it and learn what you can about it. Good luck.

You should have no problems flashing via USB, BenQ 1640 f/w for external version 164B(same drive) is BEFB or BEGB. Find all info & relevant links in the above link.
