I have an Oritron DVD600 in my possession that will not read/load. When I popped the top, I noticed that the DVD was not spinning. I leaned in to listen, and I could hear what sounded like it trying to spin. With a little help from me, the motor began to spin and the DVD with it. However it would still not read/load. Any suggestions?

Little help to the motor? I don't think this can be solved from you, sounds mostly that the device is faulty.

What I mean by “a little help from me” is that I pushed the DVD in the correct direction with my finger and then is started to spin. As if the motor does not have enough voltage going to it to get it started. Low starting torque.

If it is a voltage issue, I can't think a way to solve it. Do you have this from the first day you got it?

My sister gave it to me. She said the laser was dirty and didn’t read. She was right it didn’t read or load. But I think the whole thing about the head being dirty was some conclusion she jumped to or something that someone told her.
