i recently bought 4 different DVD/VCR combos (sony, phillips, sanyo, magnavox). the reason that i had to try 4 brands is because the DVD players wouldn't play any of my back-ups released in 2005. i had successfully played all of my other back-ups on these machines, minus the 05 movies. my main DVD player is a Toshiba 5-disc changer that i had purchased almost 4 yrs ago and it plays EVERYTHING (dvd-r,+r,etc.). i use 123COPY DVD PLUS to burn my back-ups. can anyone help me out w/ this problem?

There are new copy protection schemes on newer DVD releases.  Perhaps you might try new tools like DVDFab Decrypter (free) or AnyDVD (not free).

If you want "FREE"   then DVDFabDecrypter is your best choice.  If you don't mind paying, then AnyDVD is your absolute choice.

AnyDVD is by far one of the best at beating the new protection.
