When burning with clonecd the buffer level drops from 100% to 0 and it takes up to 20 min to burn a cd. What could be causing this and is there any way to solve this.

I could caused by several things.
Like your cd-rom player is to slow to give the signal to the writer
or your computer is to slow.
For myself I have similar problem I have 350MHZ pentium II 294 sdram and mu cd-rom player is an a open 52X and ny burner is a plextor 2410TA.

I have e-mailed plextor with the question why my burner to 8 minutes for a 650 mb cd.
The explained to my that my cd-rom causes it.
when i make an image and burn than it it took up a very small 3 minutes.

Vth how do you have the drives cabled? I had lots of trouble with mine when I had the cd-rom on the same channel with the burner. Try putting the cd-rom on the same channel with the hard drive and the Plex on the second ide channel by it's self. Is this happening during on the fly copying from cd to cd or does it also happen when copying to the hard drive and back again.

Also check your dma settings for all drives and if your still having trouble try it in another system if possible to see if it's the drive or the system. Sometimes crazy things happen:')!!!!

Good Luck, Plexman

The best things are always faster, quicker, and most of all more expensive...
