I am wanting to purchase the pioneer A06 dvd burner. I hav a Gateway Essential 450 Intel Pentium 3 447mhz and 40GB ram. What I would like to know is will the dvd burner work on my computer. As I was checking this dvd prices on the internet on the requirements it said 500mhz so I am thinking this dvd won't work on my computer or will it just be alittle slower? Does anyone know? Thanks

If the minimum requirements are 500Mhz, then it will not work. Also, with 40 MB of RAM, it is not going to work at all, there is not enough memory to support DVD burning. I realize you wrote 40 GB, but there isn't a system that supports this much ram at present.

Hi blh and welcome to Our Forum !!!
Thanks for editing your post at least we know what to reply to now !!!
I am thinking the same as MP3 but on the other hand it may work if you are prepared to take the risk as I have had DVD Writers working on a Pentium III 450 with no problems !!!
