Does anyone have a copy of the Yamaha CRW 3200e firmware version 1.0b?

I upgraded to version 1.0d (followed the instructions exactly as on yahama.co.jp's firmware page) and the drive does not work any more. I would like to try and revert to the older firmware.

The drive is installed on a system running Win XP. It shows up in Windows Explorer but does not recognize any type/brand of CD.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I will email it to you if you send me your email address. There is nothing wrong with the 1.0d version of the firmware however, it works just fine.

Thanks, mp3mogul! I managed to get a copy of v.1.0b and the drive is operational again.

Would you (or anyone else on this forum) have any pointers about what could have gone wrong when I upgraded to 1.0d?

I am sorry to say but nothing should have gone wrong if you followed Yamaha's instructions fully !!!

But one thing that caused problems with firmware upgrades in the past was Antivirus programs running so if you have one running I suggest you download the 1.0d again and before you upgrade your writer disable the Antivirus program and then fully follow the instructions and see if this makes any difference !!!
