I wanted to know how i can play my mp3 portable player in my cars cd player.  The car doesnt have a cassette player so I cant use the standard car adapters.  Is there any special adapter available that will allow me to play my MP3 player in my car CD Player.  Thanks

If your player doesnt have the appropriate jack for the MP3 player (kinda like the jack you would connect your multi disc cd changer to)  then you wont be able to connect it.

you have to tell us what kind of input sources your CD player supports (if supports any at all), i would suggest visiting a local Car Audio store for more information at this subject

Find an MP3 FM Modulator.  I've got a VR3 VRFM7.  For the price, it's not bad.  If you are state side, Wal-Mart has them for under $30.00 US.  Combined with either a USB flash drive or any other MP3 Player with a headphone jack, it will serve you well.

From what I am told, doesnt having both the radio and the MP3 player tuned to a specific frequency to play the music not the best of choices? I was under the inpression from others that it doesnt work all thqt well...................

Well, what are you looking for...  Hi-fidelity... or the simple ability to play your MP3 Files?  If you want Hi-fi quality sound, you wouldn't play 128-bit encoded MP3's.  But we're talking about a car... road noise and wind will overshadow any flaws in the sound at a respectable volume... and from the sounds of it, you have an OEM deck and likely with OEM speakers.

Now, I have a deck that plays MP3, WMA, and AAC/M4A audio once put on a CD-R/RW.  It works great.  I also carry a flash player that I USB connect to the FM modulator for stuff I haven't gotten around to burning to a CD, it's fine, but the sound quality is not as good as something ripped to a CD-R, but it's not bad either.  But considering I spent less than 30 bucks on it, it was a steal.

Go online and look at the product manual before you buy to see if it's right for you.
