Hello!

Great review from you, John :D

It seems to be that Plextor brought again a Top-drive after the Premium.

But some guys say, it´s an OEM, what do you think?

Plextor never use OEM's but in the past other companies such as Creative Labs have used rebadged Plextors !!!

You mean other then the Plextor PX-504A right? That was just a rebadged NEC-1100A

You aren't suggesting that NEC was using Plextor's drive for their NEC 1100A are you? This is HIGHLY unlikely [:I]

Also, on at least 1 occasion Plextor used one of Ricoh's CD burners. The PX-R24CS was in reality nothing more then a rebadged Ricoh RS-1420.

If you had bothered to do some research before you you posted your last post you would find out that :-
The following drives are based on Plextor CD-R PX-R24CS:

Ricoh RO-1420C (same command set, parts of hardware differ)
Ricoh RS-1420C (same command set, parts of hardware differ)

No one is suggesting that NEC was using Plextor's drive for their NEC 1100A the same applies to this as your Richo there is a difference between Rebaged and Remanufactured products !!!
