Do any other programs see your Audio CD's? What Operating System, what other software is installed? When did this start happening?

Did you go to Norton's website and download their cleaning tool to fix the problem? If you did not, please visit their website and download their tool... run it and make sure everything is okay. I have never heard of this particular virus stopping audio, but you never know what particular file(s) were infected with the virus.

well, KLEZ.h iz dead by the help of the NORTON's utility.
actually some .exe were corrupted and dead too, but none of the Windows vital executable files.
i thought that might be a problem.
...
reinstall win2k? over a clean HD?
blah, i hate installing:(

Yes,

It looks like this is the answer that you don't want to hear. I would recommend a fresh format and a clean install of windows.
