im having trouble playing dvd-r disc's (it not verbatim quality disc's is disc's like datawrite 4x, and budget 4x, princo 4x etc) in the player, the picture sometimes freezes and the player stops after awhile, if i press stop when it freezes and then play to resume from the point it froze, the player plays the same sequence excellent ??? (strange i wonder).

has any1 else experienced this problem with this player or is mine faulty? or is this a common problem with this model?

also can anyone suggest a standalone player that plays dvd-r dvd+r dvd+DL disc's with no problems or almost no problem
(with an good quality laser that reads disc very well)

ok, but i'm having problems with many diffrent dvd-r disc's. like every second or third dvd-r. perhaps it's sensitive to the budget dvd-r and princo dvd-r disc's?

what should i look for in cdspeed, that the line drops down?

strange, in the test the line dropped sligtly from 6x to 5,5x on 3,4GB of the disc. wierd i think that my player freezes so much

i found out something else, when the picture froze during playback with a dvd-r on the dv-464 i hit the player on top above dvdtray and it continued to play.

it also make some strange sounds like a part of the disc is hitting something in the player when it freezes.

does this sound like the player is borken? and do you think i should get in touch with the store?

yes i still have warrenty, i cant promise that the disc is hitting something, but it makes some strange noise when the picture freezes (my older pionner didn't have this much problems during playback of dvd-r)

i think i will mail the store hmm

just hope that they find something and just doesn't send it back and say no problems with the player and charge
