Ok, I am sitting here with my new PX-712A for about a week or so now and i am a little bit confuced...

You see, i have no problems with backing up original movies so far but, original dvd games gives me a hedacke!

The old days with plextor cdr (without firmware updates) + clone cd or 120%, i was able to backup most original games (for those plextor wasn't able to bypass protection, i used a no-cd file).

Now with my new dvd burner all the effors so far ends up to be a total disaster!!!(far cry, doom3 and more).

I still use the same software (clone dvd 2.4.3.1 + 120%) but i am sure i do something wrong.

The question is:

Is there a way to backup my original DVD games with the software i use?
can i make a dvd copy witch either
a) setup and play the game as it is
or
b)setup the game and play it using a no-dvd file.

Anybody knows something or have a suggestion pleeease help

thanks!

no you are not wrong (and thank you for your welcome!)

but the question is not how to play the game (i can use 120% and a DVD PLAYER , not -R, just to play, actually this is what i was doing before with DVD games)

Because i am bying LOTS of original games, i need to use backups (even if i have to downoad a no cd file for the protection to bypass).

Is there a faq (walckthrough, solution how to.....) involving 120%+ORIGINAL dvd games?

Currently, the only software capable of making a working backup of a protected DVD is Blindwrite.

btw, no-cd files are illegal, no matter if you own the original or no.
