i have an old cd player. i made 2 different albums on a blank hp cd using nero 5.5 using burn image-disk at once. my old cd player plays one of them but the other it shows no disc after lot of spinning. after having recorded around 10 cds, half of them work and there is no discernibvle logical pattern. is there any tips on how to burn audio cd's to ensure maximum backward compatibility with older cd players john? an particular software that will ensure more compatibility?

Could be dodgy discs. Try a different make.
