My original PC804 quit recognizing blank CD's. I bought an identical used one. It reads regular CD's, but will not recognize the blank ones. I flashed it as suggested in this forum, but all that happened was that it started spinning up and reading CD's that had already been burned.

I reinstalled the Adaptec software (from the 804) and it works fine. I put in a blank disk, however and it tries to spin it, but won't recognize the drive in order to start the burning proces.
