I have a Hp cd writer plus. How can I oc that machine and which firmware i have to use?

My Problem is, that my HP is not a genuine HP writer and the drive sticker is not a HP drive sticker. Except the faceplate says me that this cd writer is a drive from the 8000 serie (8250i).
