Having a NU DDW082 recorder, I tried a full DCerase on a bunch of bad CDRW's
with several DVDINFOPRO advert versions upto the latest (4.22) but to no avail !

The process starts OK but after 5 to 10% it jumps to 100% and ejects the CD
and when I check the disk on another PC, nothing seems to have changed.

What's the trick (if any) ?!

Thanks.

The DC Erase function was designed for DVD,  while in theory it should work on CDRW,  I personally never tried it.  Other testers did and reported it worked fine, I never personally confirmed this.  There are also quick and full modes. The quick bascially only erases the TOC the full does the whole disc.  If and when I get time I will try mine on some CDRW media.  What firmware are you on?

Firmware is B377, opsys is W2kSP4.

BTW, the full FORMAT option for DVD+-RW... does it fill all the
sectors with info, incl. CRC info like on harddisks ?
So afterwards you can check a "blank" disk ?
I know Roxio's (Adaptec) DirectCD seems to do precisely
such a thing, even with CDRW's.

Thanks Nicw.
