Hello

I am new to the forum.  I need help.   I have just bought a IOMagic DVD burner form Staples.
Here are some ID on the drive

Magicspin
F: A07M        possible firmware?????
IDVD16DD
DVDRW 1016M

Does anybody out there know who makes it.   BenQ??????????

There are already two newer firmware revisions than yours, A07R and A082. Get them below:

The truth is that BTC try to improve their drives all the time and this because they release a drive and they wait from people to do the beta testing. As for the specific I cannot warranty anything, sorry.

Why did you get this burner?

Thanks for the reply.    Bought the burner at Staples.    With rebate seems a really good price.

At Staples $69.95 plus a $30  rebate comes to $39.95.

If I were you I would have chosen a better one even with $20 more, which would be much more reliable.
