ive got
3500A firmware oem 2.18
p2.8 @2.93 with 1gig ram.
ritekG05
i use dvdshrink to image a movie, and burn the 4456mb file with nero.
with my ritekG04 @ 4x, it would burn a full disc in 13mins.
with the G05 @ 8x, estimated time is 6:40min but the actual burn goes for 9+mins.
what should i be expecting with these discs and at those speeds?

The burn time of just over 9 mins is correct read my review HERE it will help to understand why

8X takes around 9mins due to the Z-CLV implementation, there are some un-official firmware that can boost its recording speeds up to 12X and of course reduce the recording time
