My external Philips CD-RW drive (CDRW400 series) won't recognize blank CD-Rs or CD-RWs. It will recognize audio and data CDs, but not ones previously created using a CD-RW drive. I updated the driver and the Adaptec software, but no luck. I think I might need a firmware upgrade, but the Flash Tool program I downloaded and installed on Philips' advice freezes the computer when I try to run it. Help? Thanks in advance
