im new here and i hope somebody can help me.
i have the dell 8600 and got a new nec 6100 dvd-burner.
i did the firmware update 6100@6500 2.23 tdb but i have massive problems with reading all my dvd´s.
got a lot of crc-error messages.after flashing back to normal 6100 fw same problems.
i think about to call dell to change again,but i dont have anymore the original fw.
so my questions:
-anybody have the same problems with "bad" dvd´s...any solutions
-somebody know if dell use oem fw or the original nec fw??
if somebody have the original dell fw for the 6100 could you send me this??

i really hope to get help...
im getting a bit sad about flashing my dvd to get more features and now i cant even watch a dvd!

there are many 6500 firmware available here for using, but i imagine the problem here may is the used media
