I have used Pioneer 105 and 106 DVD drives to burn audio CD-Rs, but find that they often won't play in a cheap audio CD player. I've tried different makes of media and they all give problems. But when I've burned the same media in various CD writers, they work just fine.

Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone recommend a DVD writer that burns audio CDs reliably and consistently?

What media do you use and at which speed are you burning?

I always use Taiyo Yuden CDs and burn at 24X for the highest quality.
