I am having trouble finding CD-R's which will play on my Sony seperates CD player. Do you know if there are any compatibility issues with certain brands of CD player?

I have tried TDK Speed X, Verbatim Datalife Plus and EMTec discs with no success.

I have an old Verbatim 700MB disc which works fine. Could the colour of the writing surface have an effect as this one is dark blue?

I'm using Nero 5.5 with a Lite_on CD Re-writer, would trying some other software make a difference?

Sorry for all the questions but if anyone can suggest any possible solutions I'd be very grateful.

I would try first CD-RW media, it has been reported to work better. Also might want to try Mitsui GOLD media
