Please can someone help me with my problem.
I have the NEC-6450A on my HP notebook, i cannot burn dvd.
It can read cd/dvd and burn cd, and just cannot burn dvd. Can anyone tell me why this happened?

Any suggestion what i can fix this problem.

Perhaps it need a firmware update or you need to try some quality dvd recordable media. What brand/type media are you trying to record to?

I'm not sure how to update the firmware, doesn't seem to have any info on this at HP site.
I try using both Sony DVD-R and Office Depot DVD-R.
They are both 16 x.

Do you think is there something wrong with the drive itself?
