Hi all,

I have a desktop PC running XP with Nero Burning ROM 6. When I burn Cd's it lets me access the CDDB online database. I have since bought a laptop and installed the same software. When I try to burn CD's on the laptop I get that there is a network error and cannot access the database?!?!? I'm puzzled.
Any Ideas?

No it's the full version. I tried the bundled software that came with the drive in my desktop, but it doesn't recognise the drive in my laptop. The full version is on desktop and laptop. desktop works fine!

If using the random server select - freedb.freedb.org

Try selecting a local, or near local mirror - the random selection does NOT skip broken or excessively busy servers.

How is the laptop networked?
Can you access web sites normally from it?

Didn't get any error message whilst installing. Also get same error with different cddb address. Tried the update - no luck.... It works fine on my desktop.
